Mrs. Angela Hermansen

Angela Hermansen came to Northern in the spring of 2023. With more than 19 years in the field of education, she has a passion for creating effective and engaging learning experiences for all. She is committed to designing and developing educational materials that foster collaboration, uphold the highest standards, and foster lifelong learning.

Maria Martens joined the CETL team in spring 2023. Currently, she is pursuing her MSEd in Counseling, specializing in School Counseling. She is dedicated to fostering well-being in all educational settings.

Sami Ryan is a Communications major with a minor in Psychology. She plans to graduate in the spring of 2027. Sami designs digital advertisements, manages social media accounts, and acts as a contact for CETL’s partners.

Dr. Nicole Schutter brings over 20 years of extensive experience in instructional excellence and faculty leadership to the CETL Director position at NSU. Her research in teacher recruitment, retention, and rural education supports her commitment to student-centered, high-impact practices. She enjoys fostering collaboration and promoting a culture of innovation, curiosity, and excellence in teaching across campus.
